I despair I really do when I read of crimes like this. There needs to be a big overhaul of criminal checks on all foreigners though that will never happen.

How? Do you think that the authorities in the places where these people come from will have a working criminal intelligence system when we haven't? Remember all the bombings that were carried out by British born citizens. Even if they had would they share the information?  And people only acquire criminal records after they have been convicted. First time offenders don't have records until after conviction. 

I hear this a lot. But it just isn't feasible unless the whole world turns into an Orwelian state.

It was the freedom of movement from the EU i was thinking about i doubt no criminal checks were carried out when millions of them came from the EU . The United States of America seem to have got it better than us in stopping criminal's entering their country.

Yes it does mate .The checks they make are far and beyond our requirements for letting the filth in .If you don’t tick every box and dot every i you on the next boat back to the shit hole you came from .You have to have family ,means to support yourself or valid work documents that they check upon .When was the last atrocity we heard of in Aus ?
As an island we could easily implement the same regime but no ,we are soft c**ts ,open arms to every dreg  that wants a handout .
