Geoff.C 0
Super picture,I'm really jealous! I put loads of good stuff out for the birds, and get most of the tits and finches calling. I have only once though seen a long tail tit. It was all alone, took some sunflower heart and cleared off, never to call again.(Not when anyone is looking anyway). I frequently see little groups of them fly over the garden, when I'm outside, but they never look like landing.

Stunning amazing pic! what a photographer I've just bought an olympus E300, and am saving now for a decent zoom lens before I can get anything close to that! I missed FOUR woodpeckers (Spotted) at a time on my feeders last year, and was totally gutted but ony had a really pants little digi camera anyway. Cant wait to get snapping! Good job you were ready and waiting for the woodpecker. (I do get one of those fairly regularly). I have read that the long tailed tits are usually in a group, land, quick feed and away again. You did well to "shoot" this lot.

Geoff.C 0
Yesterday, just about dusk,a long tailed tit dropped onto my fat ball feeder, and was quickly joined by another.I just happened to be looking down the garden. They stayed a short while then flew off,but at least I have now doubled my record for them!! Too dark for a picture really, but I only have a compact so the results would not be like a doxhope shot. Keep them coming please.
