One of the first books I read on lurchers was his Lurchers and Longdogs ,excellent stuff,he was a knowledgeable writer on his subject ,especially on Whippets,,a first class judge and more importanly a very decent man,I met him a few times ,and he allways had time to chat ,and was courteous and modest in his opinions. The lurcher world will be the poorer with his passing RIP Ted.
