thefensarefarbutistillgo 2,482 Posted July 14, 2022 Report Share Posted July 14, 2022 The cracks that form in the ground on stubble fields are the worst thing for dogs, some of the cracks can get quiet wide I’ve seen a dog break a toe on such ground I assume it was from the toe getting lodged and twisted in a crack when turning 1 Quote Link to post

I can't tell the difference when it's stubble.. but whilst it's growing barley tends to have longer bristles on the seed head and barley the seed head is narrower..and often bends over more as the seed head droops over...wheat seed heads are thicker barley also looks like the wild green barley that as kids we would throw as darts .both of course are grasses 2 Quote Link to post
