Okay, Katch, can you elaborate a bit, please? I'm trying not to get into a massive post here. Only, I'm watching a Lot of you tube, these days. I've left the path of simple shit amounting to little films about shit. Now, I'm seeing shit I can't quite work out.

Example; Someone sat in a chair, talking? Fine.

Sat playing a game, which we can also see? Okay ...

But, I'm seeing people doing either or both. And there's a scrolling column of third party commentary. I've even seen where people appear to be giving random amounts of money?*

 

* And no. This isn't porn, or even an advice based 'show'. It can just be someone nattering away about what ever. It's fukking Weird, quite frankly!

I'm getting the idea these people are " Streaming "? It's all new to me. Doing my head in. Confusing concepts.

But, what's with the moving column of chatter? I just watched a bit of chube with it on there. I purposely paused the film and had a look. It appears disjointed garble! No real clue who's addressing who, or what about.

And that's another thing. If it were me, in the chair, talking about my frog? No Fukking Way could I watch that stream of chatter either. It's far too fast. And the person ion the chair never seems to respond to any of it. What's it doing there?

I'm not going down That rabbit hole though! I'm dimly aware there's all these things out there. I have nothing to do with it.  Twitch. Twitter. Tik Tok. It's all just names, to me.

I like sitting in front of you tube, watching interesting, informative or amusing shit. Of late, being SO bored, I've drifted into more 'amusing', sometimes largely pointless shit.

I guess it's more the sort of weird shit I'm getting glimpses of, on the sides of this other shit that's starting to get me at it. I don't want anything to do with it. I'd simply rather have at least a modicum of grasp of what the fukk's going on there. That's all.

Used to love a bit of nesting, my dad got me an old flip top school desk and I painted it and lined it with cotton wool. Blowing eggs over the sink then in the desk with a piece of paper with the birds name on it. Happy carefree times...

Exactly, I was right proud of my egg collection, garnered after hundreds of thorn/bramble scratches, twigs in the eyes, a few very rapid descents to the floor from an unsuspectingly frail branch, etc. 

Would go back to it all tomorrow.

I would mark it under the column "not worth me knowing or finding out" . My boy watches some stuff like that about computer games and i think the chatter bit is to kind of make the watchers feel part of it . People chuck them money for whatever reason . I think the ins and outs of it all is meant for younger people. To me its like cryptocurrency and NFTs , my very basic knowledge is enough for me , i leave it for others
