I once lost one of mine from the cage and got it back 6 days later courtesy of the RSPCA. It had been spotted "living rough" in a banking behind an industrial unit about half a mile away and she was in great condition! Quote Link to post
Malt 379
It makes you laugh! One of the neighbours came running over a few months ago. One of my mates ferrets had escaped, and gone up the stairs into her first floor flat. My mate wern't in so I went to look for the fert. The last place she'd seen it, was in her bathroom. So in I went, no sign of it. She went to check the kitchen while I searched the lounge. All of a sudden, I seen some movement in a pile of clean washing that was on a chair. As I got closer, this little white head popped out from under a of a pile of clean knickers! I quickly gaffed the fert, and shouted 'It's OK, I've found her!' I then had to quickly go outside because I was dying to laugh! On a serious note, they can be little buggers for escaping, I'm glad to hear you got yours back, I wasn't so lucky with my polecat hob. flame 0
we lost a young hob not long back. turned up 2 doors away in the slipper of an old bloke who constantly moans about how noisy the dogs are and reckons we shouldnt be allowed kennels on the garden. gave us a good laugh when it turned up and another chance for him to contact the council. think he mustve felt a bit daft cos we never heard any more! stubby 175
glad you got them back, maybe you should feed in the evenings, more so as the days get longer, the flies will be coming next, feeding after dark, means no flies, also means no locks can be left open, if on way out/to work, as they can be checked again before bed Quote Link to post
