6pack 60
I have a bull lurcher, 2 years old. She has great speed, stamina and turn. But once she has caught, halfway on the return she has to stop and shake her 'kill' . She gives it a really good rag before bringing back and giving up her catch. We havent worked with live prey yet - it would be a mess - but shes 'killed' several dummies just by shaking them to death. Is there any way we can stop her doing this? Quote Link to post
MikeTheDog 153
She may not do it with live prey, real stuff and dummies are miles apart...The dogs adrenaline doesn't pump round with dummies...Give it a go on the real stuff. Quote Link to post
Irish Lurcher 1,013
I have a dog that did that this at seven months old, the dummy was almost raped before it came back to me , first run on a rabbit and she done the same, rabbit was shook to death, three months later and now she is just holding in her mouth, no shaking at all, try a few live ones as Mike said.
