FERRETBOY 680
Decided to have a look out last night near a train track, this was the first time i have ever lamped these fields and wasn't really expecting to see much .there wasn't much wind and the sky was pretty light so I was very surprised to see a couple bunnies sitting out. With fly on slip I walked out to the squatting rabbit, it started to move so I slipped fly and straight to it she went and struck but the rabbit, bunny hoped over the top of her and was heading for the train line .she was on it but just didn't commit a strike and the rabbit made it to safety into one of the warrens on the banking .with fly back on slip I kept my back to the train line and noticed another rabbit sitting tight so I slipped her .she ran other the top of the bunny, so I called her back and the rabbit made a run for it but she scooped it nicely then I spotted another rabbit even further out and I made my way to this rabbit with fly on slip still ,when I got a few yards away the rabbit tried to make its way back to the train line again but fly cut it of which slowed the rabbit down then picked her second rabbit up on the run. further down the train line fence spotted another rabbit so I slipped fly ,the rabbit once again headed for the train track but fly was pressuring it but couldn't connect with her strike and the fourth rabbit of the night made it to safety. heading back home had another scan with the lamp on a plough field and saw yet another rabbit .straight out to it both me and the fly and with a another bursting run fly scooped her third rabbit ,jumped the trench and landed on the other side still holding her coney , very classy catch .I lamped a big rabbit by mistake on the same plough ,fly put in a good 15 to 20 second run keeping tightly behind her target but she just didn't have enough wind to keep up with it and the big rabbit made its escape .a very good night ,3 out of 6 runs including the big rabbit ,was out lamping for about 45 mins but it took about 40 mins to get there and the same back. Just a pic taken with the my phone Good hunting rew Edited January 25, 2008 by REW Quote Link to post

tote 856
This full moon lark must be everywhere We had one as well. I phoned up a landowner at 6pm [it was a wild night then] and told him I would be up after I had been at a committee meeting of the fishing club. When I got home at 9.30pm the clouds had gone and the wind had dropped away added to that it was freezing. Never mind, there's always tonight. Well done REW,keep at it pal.
