The Manchester Arena bombing was done with ingredients that can be bought at Asda and B & Q. Anyone who is fanatical enough can kill numbers of people in many ways, like driving an HGV into a crowd, building a bomb, running amok with a blade. Of course, the ease with which guns are available in America is a huge contributing factor, but would banning guns stop the fanatical nutter ? I doubt it, but it might make it harder for them. Identifying and acting swiftly against the fanatics could be the answer, how many of these killers were already known to the security services, even on watch lists, but not arrested because of "human rights", fear of being accused of racism, etc ? As I said, I don't have an answer......I doubt anyone has. Cheers. I think there is a nasty habit in the media and that is promoted by government to look for every answer except the obvious…… Take the late David Amiss MP for example, there was all sorts of talk about mental illness, fanaticism etc etc……a bit like the Manchester Arena bombing. But the answer imho is simple, they let these people in with minimal checks to a society and a culture they are completely at odds with and if they wasn’t here it wouldn’t be happening !……least not by them. And seeing as historically (pre 1960s) people wasn’t going about stabbing MPs and blowing up teenagers then the proof is there. Same as when some random youth go’s mental with an AR15, this wasn’t happening pre 1960 when people had hope and a culture to cling to and black and white boundaries of morals and a social contract……it’s only happening since we did away with that stuff. I don't know the answer but I also don't understand why they want assault rifles over there but hey ho. I know banning unfairly effects law abiding citizens but what is more important to you, your child or your gun? You miss the point completely imho mate, the question is “what next after your gun ?” (Or your kitchen knife or legally held shotgun or beer glass etc etc etc )

TOMO 26,141
yeh you can look at the complicated version.....and think about the cycology of all this... but lets get real... man/nutcase walks in to gun shop/walmart.etc...buys high powered assault rifle.... walks in to school and blows a classroom away.... seems pretty straightforward to me 1

I understand that mate and I fully take your point However, I still just think we are talking about numbers when in reality we should be talking about why ? The U.K. with all its gun laws (which I happen to think it actually gets just about right) still has mass killings, maybe not in the same numbers but it still has them and they have not all been terror related.
