If a hare is faster then how does a greyhound come to terms with it in the first place.

Now I love to wind someone up as much as any man, but there are limits. so i say this in serious mode.

Think about what you have written and then think about this, if the greyhound is at full speed on the runup, regardless  of that speed, and the hare gains on it, even if its just for a few yards, then the hare is going faster at that point, common physics.

Next point how do they do it, well they maintain there speed longer than the hare can, the more stamina they have the longer they run. After all Beagles catch hares, your not going to tell anyone a beagle is faster than a hare I hope.

a hare evades by how quick it can turn how fast  it can stop the hit speed again how long it can keep it up

A greyhound has definitely got more speed than a hare and would catch any hare than continued to run in a straight line as long as it’s got a mouth, it’s the hares agility, stamina and acceleration out of the turns which makes it hard to catch

Doesn't happen very often but I've seen greyhounds straight-lined in Irish Park coursing especially if the hares have been run before and knows where the escape is.

Yea but the hare is given a big head start and it hasn’t got long before it can escape in that type of coursing

Both have enough space to get to full speed though, like I said it didn't happen very often and it was maybe a really good hare and not so good greyhounds.
