Yeah, I feel the same fellah,...I don't really care whether a pup of mine goes to a working or a pet home, just as long as it is well cared for...?  I always try to gift pups to genuinely nice gu

If you’re dealing with decent fellas & you’re a decent sort yourself you’ll get a pup for free, it’s the ones charging a grand id be wary of

I wouldn't be certain mate, some of those coursing breds look real powerhouses, just look at that Jamie and it's offspring, I don't think it would be unreasonable to say those types could take fallow mate.

It’s nothing to do with the size of them, it’s whether they’d be mentally willing to stick it out with a big deer when it wasn’t going their way.

Size and power does help, a lot,  and you're right, they have to have the minerals, only the lads who've owned them would know that, mC says his are as keen as mustard, i see no reason why they wouldn't mate.

When they’ve done that’s the only time to know for sure, you can’t give a dog credit for something it hasn’t done just because it looks keen, I’ve seen a lot of dogs myself that’ll gladly bully roe deer but run along side the bigger ones

Of course, you need a deerhound cross to properly "lug up", or take a nose hold ......

But, as an old Kiwi told me; "It has to be finished with a knife, or it don't count, guns are for sissy's" ! ??

I face jail every morning when my pup runs the roe behind my house, if I worried about it, I'd have given up the game years ago.

I'm an old time stoic, much like when the King of Persia gave the king of Sparta the ultimatum;

" If you don't surrender, and if we invaded, and if we defeat you, we will slaughter all the men, enslave all the women, and destroy all the land".

The king of Sparta simply replied "IF..." ?

Cheers.
