Guest Frank
That is a shame mate.I have in the past and will do no doubt in the future well upset some folks by not letting anyone but me take dogs out with my ferrets,i dont care how much they bleat on about how good their dogs are with ferrets. All i know is my dogs are trustable and my ferrets are safe, would ruin a day having a dead ferret and a dog to keep it company in it's hole in the ground. Spot on. I have a freind, who is allways asking me to come fereting with me and his collie lurcher. The dog has never been broken to ferrets. Good dog and all and nowt against my mate, but their is no way, i would bring a dog, that has not been broken to the ferts, far too risky. As what happened above, can happen with any type of dog. whippetmike 3
manda a bullx lurcher are bred has killing machines you cant really fault the dog there not pets?once they see red whats all that about a game terrier could easily do the same?if you get what im saying oh yes definatly, sorry didnt mean it to sound like its only bull x's that would do it i know a few terriers that would love to eat my ferrets thats just bad training so every time a bull cross see red its all right for it to kill. ie. ferrets or even sheep for instance. i think the only falt there is the owners. i agree the dog should be controled.for instance it could be a child. we train them to be controlled hunters seeing red nonsense i wouldn't have it or have it along with me Quote Link to post

mackay 3,312
A lurcher doesn't need to be aggressive, don't confuse this with being game and it certainly doesn't need to be hard to take deer. Quote Link to post

Guest MOLLY
What a load of tosh. Seeing red. Going blind. Red mist. Bred to kill. Its a bloody dog not something out of a predator movie Of course its bred to kill, its a lurcher for fooks sake. I agree with Mackay... A lurcher doesn't need to be aggressive, don't confuse this with being game Is anything the bull cross is softer than most other breeds of lurcher, as it is the bulls nature. They are just more determined, do not like being bitten and will put in 110%. And are very easy to train due to their over bonding with owners, so there is really no need for an uncontrolled bull x. Its no wonder the apbt got banned with comments like these Moll. Quote Link to post

I have a bullx he is not slow or lumbering i think that there main game was the biteing back kind of game. and i belive its down to the owner to train there dog to whatever standard they need. My bullx is no good with ferrets but thats not what i use him for so i have no need to train him to do somethink i dont need him to do. Just my opinion Quote Link to post
