TAXI DRIVER 549
They need to be stored pointed end down and turned daily until placed in the incubator.Once in the incubator they need to be turned 3(some say 5) times a day for 18 days(chicken eggs) and then not turned for the last three days before hatching. Tip- Mark the eggs with pencil, eg x on one side and a number on the other(eg the order you collected them etc so you know which is which if some don`t hatch etc). This will help you when turning them etc ie all x pointing up and all numbers up the next turn. Some say don`t use eggs over 7 days old but I hatched 2 batches recently which had some 14 day old eggs and had 100% hatch rate. I don`t use a homemade incubator but if the temperature and humidity is spot on then it can be successful.
