darrren 414
Me and my other half have been hatching a few chickens over the last 6 months and raising them. We decided we only needed to keep 2 as 2 eggs a day is enough for us so we gave the remainder to her dad. When I went to get my fishing gear out of the shed there was rat scat everywhere. I had a look around and found the runs. As we have owls in the garden regular poison is a no no so I dug one of the fenns out. Ordered this box as its a better design for a garden woth lots of traffic. A bit pricey but ideal as it's a long tunnel so none of the local cats etc can get hurt. This rat had been out in the daylight hours helping himself to chicken feed. Had a check today and finally got him. Most rats I get out the back garden in live traps, but with my chickens and the neighbour also having some I'm trying to get ontop ofn them before they chew everything in the shed. Mk4 fenn in a quill productions box. I had it set off by the shed a week after setting but no catch. Moved it to the corner of the front where my girlfriend seen him running in daylight hours. Been there 5 days til it got him. Edited May 16, 2022 by darrren 5 Quote Link to post
