Cheap shotgun

Just seen an ad for a Hatsan pump action shotgun, brand new for £250, must be a good choice for a truck gun that you don't mind getting battered about.  Really tempted at getting one, if it last a couple of years, it would be worth it

A pal of mine had one and used and abused it for a few years. Eventually it started jamming a lot, but that might have been due to neglect? He only got £30 for it and replaced it with a benelli. Due to low resale value, you might be better off buying an old Winchester pump or similar?

Depends what you are after, but real bargains "can sometimes" be had at the Game Fair!

Its always worth asking in a gun shop what they have "out back".

For good commercial reasons they really want to sell you something expensive from the display racks. However they sometimes have stuff that's  been part exchanged or handed-in  stashed in the back room . Some are only fit for scrap but  quite servicable guns that're  otherwise destined for auction might be had for  reasonable offers.

My rfd based in Scunthorpe, North Lincs, have a rack with the bargain guns in and well worth a look. I just picked up a nice Winchester 101 XTR, o/u, fixed 1/4 & 1/2 choke barrels for my son in law, £250 and it shoots a treat.  I tested another, roach belly Phantom o/u (browning A1 copy) £150.  Might be worth giving them a call.

Winchester 101 is a lovely gun. I shot one quite a bit. Love Winchester as they balance like Browning. Pretty hard to tell them apart yet WInchester are only a fraction the price.

I got a cheap Winchester 1500 xtr semi auto bloody lovely gun to shoot long barrels not sure why I can hit stuff with it but just feels right
