Maximus Ferret 2,063
Just seen one of these advertised. What is it? A conditioning aid maybe? How would a weight vest be used and are they any good? I imagine that, like vitamin supplements, such things mostly shouldn't be needed unless there's an actual issue to be sorted but then I believe a fair few people find treadmills useful. THE STIFFMEISTER 15,612
Saluki greyhound’s banging out pull ups…… as you’ve said I can imagine it’s to increase the load whilst trotting , adding attrition without the need for a treadmill. treadmills can cause the human body to be out of kilter whilst on it , I’d imagine extended periods for canines wouldn’t be great also 3 Quote Link to post
chartpolski 23,028
I knew on or two people in the non-ped whippet racing years ago that had jackets with pockets for lead weights for their dogs to wear when training, supposed to increase stamina. Didn't seem to catch on though Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

But, if you only walk it to the rec on the retractable lead it ain't going to do much. Lol conditioning is a thing of passion which far out weighs a vest 2 Quote Link to post
