Bangersanmash 3,138
Been looking at my pied chicks this morning an pleased with the colours of this one. Guna be a stunning bird this. I'm hoping for abit of the classic look with a touch of white. Am not right keen on the full satenette pieds or isabel pied a like the more natural pieds classic.

Looks like its going to be a pastel mate so I'm over the moon. At first a was abit gutted thinking it was going to be a isabel pied or satenette. But looking at the feathers I'm sure it's a pastel.
Bangersanmash 3,138
Just looking at the markings on the flight feathers amazing how quick the feathers come through. Am chuffed like you say fireman about this bird. Its going to be a stunner. Edited May 12, 2022 by Bangersanmash

fireman 10,972
Out the nest. stage one complete and looking bright eyed , feck me you know what your doing so not dragging them mate, but i always prefered natural stick perches as it gives the chicks all different size perches which helps strengthen feet and legs. A bird grips harder the more it relax's (it's why the don't fall out of trees when they sleep, for those who don't know ) and a perch it can get it's feet round will be easier for it to relax on, well that's my take on perches anyway and that clean healthy bird and spotless cage shows the care Bangers puts into his birds.... It's mad you say that because yesterday a went on a walk an came back with some willow & Hazel lengths. I've put some in with a pair of eumo's today but they keep knocking them down. A think a might of cut them too short. Too big they end with a curl in middle too small they drop off cage fronts. A will sort them out tomorrow morning before work though.
