We used to handicap the non-ped whippets at 16 yards per second, back when they were doing 9 seconds for 150 yards.

These days the best are doing 150 yards in 8 seconds or less. That's almost 19 yards per second !

Have a look at chart's figures, convert/process it into your mouse cage, then compare that to the figures I quoted.

no i think your about right mate i can remember a greyhound can cover 100 meters in around 5 seconds

19 yards per second is 57 feet per second.

Not a huge difference to 60 feet per second.

Even if I say so myself, I'm not a bad greyhound and whippet handicapper.

We allways worked at 6/100ths of a second per yard, and were never far out.

You could allways lift or pull a dog a yard or two if you got it slightly wrong
