i find that very odd for somebody that has hunted all over the world and in many different ways ...

now whilst i have never had any dealings with wolves and as a man who loves dogs....and lurchers in particular and there hunting prowess i just find all wild k9's absolutely fascinating ...and I'm surprised a fellow hunter and lurcher man wouldn't think the same ..

My mate goes to Turkey few times a year, his mrs comes from there. He told me that up in the mountains, the Kangals are big rough buggers, who bite you no prob. These types are bred for work, and not for people outside Turkey, and there few types bred, some bred for fighting, but most are bred  from fighting lines, so they know that the dogs,  will not back down, from any confrontation, more so any wolves. The shepards norm have 3 - 4 Kangals loose with sheep/goats, as they need that many to fight pack  of wolves. The wolves in Turkey, Spain, etc are not as big as the grey wolves =timber wolves, these buggers go up to 14st, where the wolves in Turkey go  8-10st, but pack of 8 soon kill one kangal, so need 3-4 to tackle a packbthatscwhy they put spiked  collars on them. But my mate told me, you won't get many big breeds as strong and healthy a we bred kangal, they all have very powerful bite on them.

 I guess the guy has got his own reasons,...I suppose it all depends on where you have lived, and what you have personally experienced. Wolves, and wild dogs, can certainly present major problems to a livestock keeper...

I've no feelings either way, regarding these amazing wild creatures,.. but I bet our skinny lurcher curs would pretty soon end up mullered, if we had Wolves prowling around our yards, at night... 

It must be emotional, waking up, to find your pet jukel ragged about, and left in several pieces

My missus would go fecking mad

The people I met in Turkey had massive respect for their kangals...grave sites dotted around everywhere on the hills

I met 4 Turkish lads on the hills last time I was there 2019,they were walking 4 kangal X dogos I think with spike collars ,cropped ears and tails,also had  a little yappy blue french bull dog the kangals was sound with me,Frenchie had a go at my new trainers...the cheeky cnut

Rabies and mange ridden curs that were brave and would attack a human when in a pack, but cowardly individually

Always carry a catty, I was always wary of rabies, one of my kids was bitten once and had to have his jabs.

I detest two animals wolves and baboons and both for exactly the same reason.

I understand most people wont get it and I was the same and found them interesting to say the least.

But the day you have your own loved dogs torn apart by either of them you will understand.

I dislike most predators as during my lifetime I have had multitudes of my animals killed by them from my pet cavies to dogs and ferret to turkeys and even my fish collection.

I admire most and have had many as pets etc, but I do not like most with the exception of one or two like weasels and skunks.
