Met a masaii out in Tanzania who had been mauled by a lioness while he tried to protect his cattle. She bit his foot off but he stabbed her to death with his simi while she did it. He then crawled to the road and got a bus to hospital. He was still herding cattle when i met him. He was the only masaii i met wearing trainers so he could hide his prosthetic foot. Tough people

Fair play to him mate for killing the lioness..like you say tough people..

Was you on a safari holiday tyla..

Seen his books on Amazon do you know if there worth a read mate.

I haven't read his books to be honest mate, I read big game books as a kid because they were a form of escapism, the guy piers is interviewing has lived a life less ordinary, piers is funny in that clip "shot them to death" there would have been a far bigger outcry if he had just "shot them to wound".

Same here mate always found Jim Corbetts book's a good form of escapism as a kid growing up around pits and the steelworks still do if I am being honest.

The discussion has changed from the original post to a sort of canned hunt direction which wasnt what was described in the original post .

A big part of the hunting for sport is for the enjoyment of it . Cant say all people involved in the fox hunts are all about stock preservation.

Amazes me how celebrities living in cities & towns in mainland Europe know what’s best for African wildlife , I suppose all it takes is a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti and your an expert ..tossers .

This man has spent his entire working life doing more for wildlife in Africa  than Gervais , Mrs Johnson and the entire celeb world could ever begin to understand …

I have actually been "Treed" by a rhino while walking, had two charges, one was a bluff but we still ran to a tree, second we got up the tree and the rhino snorted and stomped around under it.

Just found a clip I made for my son while up the tree lol
