Some people have just got a way with venomous snakes and make it look easy but one mistake and it could be lights out ,I see a programme about a fella going into a cave full of rattle snakes and sleeping the night with rattlers tucking in next to him for warmth and wrapping around his arms and legs and they didn't even take q strick position, the only venomous reptile I'd keep would be a gila monster as they slow moving and they pass venom by chewing ,I don't think it's powerful anufe to kill a healthy person but you'd feel like a bus had hit you for a few days

Folk don't realise but garter snakes are rear fanged and mildly venomous .

those with no experience should never try handle a venomous snake no matter the size as the young snakes still pack the same punch

There's a small piece of heathland right on the edge of the M3 packed with reptiles, loads of bits of numbered corrugated tin as it's a research area for snakes, I was lifting bits of tin up showing my mate all the slow worms and a grass snake, he went off and lifted some tin and shouted across that a slow worm was trying to bite him...... It was an adder ?

Some people don't like themselves never mind anyone else and do cruel thing to defenceless people and animals to make themselves look good but alls it does is show folk what a proper sad cnut they  really are and they will never be liked by others but then again these types don't even like themselves.

I'd be worried all the time if I lived in a area Eastern browns also called home and I'd definitely wouldn't want any on my property around me stock or family .

I chat to a lad who set up a call line in his area of oz ,he gers called when snakes are needing moved from someone's home or yard and he will milk the venomous ones to go towards anti venom program, but like he says he understands why folks kill them as something that can kill you in few hours isn't what folk need around your home .

Everything has its place and they belong well away from humans especially children and those with no experience should never try handle a venomous snake no matter the size as the young snakes still pack the same punch so if you not able to get someone to move it the only option is to end it .

We get snakes from time to time in most places here but I bought a run down acreage of 20acres in the middle of heavily grazed large farms. 8ft high grass and millions of mice on the place, it was a refuge. I fixed the house and grazed cattle and the snakes were driven to my house yard. We saw them daily, big Eastern Browns. The surrounding farms rarely saw them and couldn't believe the numbers on my place.

Most dogs hate snakes, it surprises me that the retrievers were good snake killers but they would have survived because of their intelligence and wariness like my Parsons where my harder terriers were just too game and paid the price.
