Sausagedog 7,381
So sifting through some old HMR ammo for cracked neck and out pops two purple tipped bullets from an already opened box of remington ammo. The purple tipped ammo has a hornady head stamp. Any ideas which loafing these are?? Quote Link to post

I believe they were originally produced for eley to load as hm2, but when eley stopped production of hm2 the surplus were used up for hmr loading. 2 Quote Link to post

Well, I remember one of my local rfd’s having blue/purple (as well as red) tipped hornady hmr in stock probably around 2007-2009 ish? When they’d gone the hornady’s that they ordered were all red tipped after that. 1 Quote Link to post
