I didn't know you lived in washy? Yup, we used to haunt that area as kids, wonder what it's like now?

Yeah, I lived right next to "F" pit and the Stella Maris club.

Had a company house, but when I left to go abroad they wanted my missus to pay rent so we moved back to Newcastle.

Still got friends in Washington and Shiney Row, but very rarely go there.

Would also walk over to Penshaw, again, there was plenty hares there, haven't a clue what its like now ?

Cheers.

Just below Penshaw on the big field, always hares, quite a few lads around there with dogs nowadays.

My old dog caught a heron, below the A19 Bridge one night, also got a peahen in woodland, haven't a clue where it came from.

One of mine caught a  peacock couple of years ago,  managed to save it a released it, still have a couple of  feather in a vase from it. Caught woodcock and snipe lamping.  Flushed a marmot with a Ferret on Dunstable downs ....... few odd things over the years.

Theres a place i know not far from an old park theres a different type of muntjac deer lives there. Bigger can run very well. Had things like boar and goats aswell but most people have these days.

Used to get a fair few bigger ones  near Woburn as a youngster.  Still the odd one with a  good head about.

When you say a marmot you mean the big orange looking things in mongolia/xinjiang, or the little hyrax looking ones?

Had a terrier (mushroom) fuucking thing was a delinquent from 5weeks old ?So the exes grandad said to put it in with the geese (dog was about 4month old ish)… All bloody hell broke loose withong 5 seconds ? Geese tried it on and mushroom ended up clamped on one of them by the neck, getting dragged around all the while making those daft growling noises pups make ?

That dog turned into a cracker, fuucking loopy but a cracker. He nearly got the ex stampeded by a red in the lakes coz he was chasing it ?

Just been out to lunch, had good clothes and shoes on, then my missus wanted to shop, I went for a look around some waste ground, loads of raccoon tracks around the waters edge, saw around a dozen groundhog and found some Canada goose nests, the waste ground if you had a dog you would have got something "exotic", I wonder how Ted Newgents staghound got on in Sask, anyways, got back to my missus and my shoes and trousers were covered in mud, would love a dog out here, you would certainly have some sport, but I am away quite a bit.
