Fred west was a shit hot painter and decorator

Yeah interiors he was ok at we'll give you that ,but his ground works and use of hardcore under his patio's was lets say a tad questionable at times ...

The greatest! I've had more pleasure watching him than any other sportsman or entertainer without a doubt. I don't agree his greatest fight was against Foreman. His trilogy with Frasier are the f

I didn’t have you as part of the “if in doubt go to joe rogan “ crowd gnash .

be careful there as before you will find yourself  chatting away to the old woman about actually important matters in life and all the time wondering if chimps on DMT could kill a shark or if vikings used shamen powers to sail to South America to hunt nazis before you know it !

One of the best “personal” photos I’ve seen of Ali was in Brian London’s house in Blackpool. It was an image of both of them swinging at each other during their fight. Made and still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Said it before on here, I rocked up to his house for a job and he was in his garage at 70 something years old punching the fuuck out of a bag…. Respect!

You still not happy with tyson for beating up mike spinks?

You got me there ?....yeah that hurt me that did ....i was sure he would put the " Spinks Jinx " on Tyson and quit him with frustration in another Leonard/Duran no mas scenario ?

I really enjoyed that interview mate. Brilliant. He had Tyson worked out 100%. Clever guy Atlas.

I remember  Ken Norton saying:" it's  not necessarily the strongest or the quickest man who will the fight, its the man who thinks he can win the fight."

Great fighters just exude  confidence and  genuine self belief. When Tyson got in the ring with Holyfield, you could 'smell' the fear Tyson had. Bruno looked terrified of Tyson. Golota terrified of Tyson. Okinwande clung to Lewis all fight.  Audley Harrison terrified of everyone. ?

You  can often accurately judge who is going to win a fight in the first few minutes, just by body language.

The mind is probably the most powerful weapon a sportsman has.

Its not very often there an even contest, especially in modern times, i dont think tyson was in fear of holyfield at all, he didnt like the crowd being against him as he wasnt used to it, his popularity wasnt quite the same after his stint in jail, a great exciting fighter, not the greatest, he dont claim to be, real humble guy now

Whilst I agree with what you're saying to an extent this narrative is forever falsely dished out regarding Tyson.

Tyson was a heavy favourite going in to the first Holyfield bout and he and his team believed he would blow away Evander early, how wrong they were.

Still, it took a well prepared Holyfield 11 rounds to beat a Tyson that hadn't had a meaningful fight in over 4 years, it's a real shame we never got to see their proposed first bout in the early 90's, that would have been a legendary bout.

?holyfield had been out a few year with heart problems

i liked holyfield dirty  but great fighter i wanted tyson to win ?

More likely steroid problems to be precise, still, Evander had been more active than Tyson and was undoubtedly better prepared for their mega bout.

Tyson was blowing after a few rounds, Holyfield may have had his number but I think the Tyson of the Rooney days would have stopped Holyfield.

he was definately hammering the roids but i’d say so was tyson

holyfield was an out and out fighter wasn’t he no quit in him great chin bowe stopped him but he was solid all round

but so was tyson no quit in him at this point anyway

as you say been a better matchup in late 80s

Holyfield looked like he had a whole pharmaceutical company working for him though, you're right though, I'd say Tyson may have taken PED's at some point but his physique was consistent throughout his career, Holyfield though was as guilty as sin let's be honest.

Still, Holyfield was an ATG in his own right, a magnificent fighter that would have done well in any era.

All the ped heads seem to have that same blank look on their faces, holyfield, pacquiao, canelo, all juiced imo

I'm not sure if Atlas can hold an objective conversation about Tyson after their big falling out, he has at least started giving him some credit recently.

Anybody who states Tyson never had the heart clearly didn't follow his career, I suggest they go and watch the Buster Douglas bout and the two fights with Razor Ruddock.

By the time he faced Holyfield he was past his best, the Lewis bout shouldn't even be mentioned because he was completely shot and a shadow of his former self.

You wouldnt expect any world level fighter to quit on physical pain or punishment but theres plenty of ways a fighter can quit.....and Tyson quit on hopelessness.........as a fighter that relies on physical power, knowing you cant hurt your opponent is a terrifying thought to have during a fight that tests your mental durability and he knew he couldnt hurt Holyfield.....he has openly admitted his frustration/tantrum was because he knew Holyfield was simply a better fighter than him.
