Borr 5,825
My mate has knocked off his hot tub which was costing £100 a month, he's got solar trimmed back to the extent that meter goes backwards some of the time. Personally when home I cooked on the smoker/BBQ outside saves using oven hob , gonna get rid of old chest freezer and get a modern upright freezer, other than that not much else other than lights/appliances off when not needed make sure they're decent energy rating....
BGD 6,436
Don't worry we're all in this together, even MPs on 85 grand a year plus expenses are feeling the pinch 1

chartpolski 23,275
I've just got round to fitting draught excluder around the doors, and filled holes in the back of the kitchen units with expanding foam. I went around with a lighter and couldn't believe the draughtsI found ! The rolls of foam tape and cans of foam were cheap as chips from Amazon, and there is a very noticeable difference. My gas /electric bills have gone up by £60 a month, but my pension has only gone up by less than £3 a week, so any savings is welcome. Cheers. Greyman 28,224
Cut all my own wood for heating, keep a kettle on the stove for washing dishes and making brews and will be getting on with my solar panels ASAP also going to start shopping for what I need when I need it locally rather than the big weekly shop in a supermarket half of which goes in the bin at the end of the next week

Jonjon79 13,358
I'll probably crack on as normal then, see where we are at the start of May. ......... at the moment, we're a few hundred quid in credit. I'd recommend taking a picture of your meters today, showing the reading and the serial number incase the supplier tries to take the piss later. 1
