There's a lake had  couple of 20s in it and a good head of double figure fish  and always plenty of jacks but the last 2 3 years completely dead nothing and was a good producing lake everytime you were there  was good sport but has anyone else seen a lake just die out and hold nothing

They do well in some real neglected waters

Probably predation from 2 legged fish eaters or otters....or a bit of both..

I run a club on the river Wye...my fishing been wiped out by the  water quality last 2/3 seasons...take a few tests,don't over look that could be a reason

Daniel the 2 legged fish eaters couldnt access this place theres one place to fish infront of the house they did lower the water in it by digging drains out couple of fields away but such a good place completely dead now

Low oxygen levels always hit Pike first before any other fish perhaps they dropped in the summer and killed them ?

To be fair, pike curry is bloody lovely, just be careful of the razor sharp bones

To gunter, maybe the prey have died out, algae, low water replenishment, low oxygen etc.

Weird isn’t it. As kids the things we did, they don’t do now lol 

A pike on the line as an 8 year old whilst camping with me mates was a given scran! We even ate perch…. I recommend no one ever eat perch

Agree kids aren't like they use to be and don't think it will ever be like it again lol  we went camping ferreting digging all on foot lamping was the best fs half the kids were out with us wernt even into hunting but went you wouldn't even see kids out hunting over fields by themselves now

Worse thing I've tasted is....roast blackbirds.... was like chewing an old skool glass stink bomb

When we was kids,we would scrump allotments steal veg,a bird or 2 ,few eggs and go down the river cook them up...used to eat snails ffsI've ate most fish...but would I f**k eat a slimy bream

Remember a place we used to hunt as kids and going into a big barn full of chickens but they had about 5 geese wanted one for christmas went up at night to put one in bag pitch black had a little torch we left with four chickens fs used them as dog food
