Hi Levigsp,.. yes, I like to use a lurcher for as many different tasks, as I can,...possibly I am just a bit mean, and want my money's worth?

Yes but only on command. She'll sit under a high seat and watch deer for hours but if we are tracking a wounded one and it gets up in front of us I can ask her to pull it. The indicating is the best b

?Never thought I would say it,. or even think in such a way,...but nowadays, I don't really care, if a dog is good at the job or not. Financially, my status has changed a bit,...not drastically,

No just saying in general. If you said to most folk my dog retrieves roe deer they’d think you were talking crap. Then pulling out a photo, there’s no arguing with that! I’ve got to admit I was a bit skeptical, I’ve had but dogs drag them and sort of walk with part in their mouth, pulling them along, but never a dog picking one up broadside like a shot rabbit.

Ive seen some unusual and cool things out hunting but rarely manage to get a decent photo !

The first thing I noticed about that pic was the geezer behind photo-bombing, look at his face man, put it this way, I Wadnt like him standing behind me in desolate woods, looks like he has escaped from somewhere secure ?

Was aways going to end up like this, the unsavoury characters that came into coursing have made it so, driving the land, no respect for hare or dog for that matter,

oh Bore off

1 no dogs are tested more than those on the fen , the strong survive , literally .

2 coursing had to be that way as that’s what it was reduced to

I’ve had coursing dogs over 30 years, probably longer than you’ve been alive and I’ve walked with the best. Nobody had to doughnut the land to test dogs or abuse farmer and public alike, dogs left on the land with broken legs, if you think that’s all in the name of testing dogs your completely deluded.
