Take her mate will be fine most dog viruses are very rare these days as most dogs are jabbed unlike in my youth when most weren’t and secondly if there are not lots of other dogs around your lake there is even less chance of her picking something up, just be careful of rats as leptospirosis in dogs is veils desease in humans and comes from rat piss but again very rare and needs an open wound to make contact with a fresh piss patch 1

Keep her away from the water and she'll be fine pal I always start taking my pups out after first set of jabs TBH, feel you miss out on too much early socialisation if you keep them in til they're all done. 2

I still wouldn’t leave him unsupervised. Accidents can happen all too easily mate. I just wouldn’t risk it, especially with a new, adult dog who’s temperament I have no clue about. I wouldn’t even let it near my kids until I was sure I knew the dog wasn’t a liability.
jukel123 7,957
Thing is the parents didn't deliberately put the kid in harms way. It's pure and simple ignorance. There's too much 'Disneyfication' of dogs. They no doubt thought a dog would protect the family, guard the house and be a loved addition to the family. Dogs originally bred for fighting are, imo, more dangerous than other breeds. Parents need to be educated. But who would provide the education I don't know. 2

On a Saturday morning I’d come down and she be sat cross legged, in front of the Telly, cereal bowl in hand, on the massive dog bed, in the middle of 5 dogs Once found the Staffy looking very unhappy dressed as a Disney princess, clip on ear rings and all
