so my light sport rifle comp has come to an end and my scores for me were not good enough.so the .357 has been used in anger for the first time in a while.comp is only 25y and 3 cards with ten shots on each for one round.so total out of 300 per round.two weeks back i shot my first round and could not get over the bloody nerves and was shaking holding the gun but still put in a 291 ex 300.shot the 2nd round yesterday outside and got a 100 then a 97 and the last card was a 99 so much more like my practice cards.so dropped only 4 out of 300 happy days.you would think that after shooting comps for over ten years i could get over the nerves.at least my scores in this discipline are still up there unlike my lsr which has dropped by a fair bit.can not understand why i can still shoot the magnum but the little .177 air rifle i now struggle with.

And breathe.......slow down tiger, ee you target shooters, how ever will you cope if a lion charges!

thing is i can shoot a 98 out of 100 within 12 seconds.speed shooting is easier and more natural for me .

Got to practice slow fire more then buddy.

To be honest I see folk running combat style courses of shooting and it makes me chuckle.

No one is shooting back at them for a start, that would slow them down some I assure you!

What is often overlooked is in shooting is self discipline. A controlled inner calm. Calm pulse and breathing disciplines. Watch some Olympic shooters, they don't run around, except them on skies that is.

Not everything requires adrenaline in large doses!

Nicke to hear your shooting season has started. Here its 1.5 feet of snow we have beguinn with pistol fieldshooting. Blackpowder rifle and pistol starts in april. A .577 bullet from the enfield are less flimzy than a .177.

had another 60 shots with the henry yesterday.2nd to last card was junk with a 95 so i had one last go and hit a 99.best group ever about the size of a 2p coin and shot within 20seconds.just stood there grinning like a big kid as to do this in the time i did it i think is good going
