Phil.... They look like old pit wellies that you've got on in that pic mate.?

Remember my old uncle getting me a pair of them when I was a mere youth, feckin ribbed all up the front of them with steel toecaps. Bloody creased ya feet to walk any distance in them  ?

Yes, some of us still have them

All good pot fillers, I lost the bitch to a broken neck she was a great all rounder.  Same for the black dog r,h,d he'd never fail me. The big dog was a once in a life time dog he could do it all from

These types were two a penny,.. back in the day,....and what canny days they were....?

Used to run with a couple of lads that used to use the cross mainly for fox an deer but they’d have a crack at anything that moved. I’ve still got a old line bred collie greyhound deer hound greyhound but there was whippet/greyhound added as the outcross my bitch was the most honest bitch I’ve had good fast catch bitch good at closing large gaps her only downfall was she would catch fox an didn’t want to kill them all she wanted to do was pin them in to the ground I didn’t use her much on them because I didn’t like what she was doing I bred out of this bitch to a f1 bedlington greyhound an produce some good all rounders an produce some dirt I produce 1 bitch that was as what I’d say was a world beater that bitch was bred to a good similar bred beddy x foxer to produce the bitch I use now

Can’t remember the name of the DVD but it featured the “Harelaw Lurcher Club” must’ve been filmed in the 90’s. It featured plenty of dogs bred this way lamping rabbits, remember one big hairy dog they nicknamed the flying carpet. Good honest dogs

Start of a dynasty tho wernt it

Saw both of them run on hares the deerhound collie hybrid was far more superior than the 3 quarter grey/collie out of merle though it would have been a bad marketing strategy to promote what plummer called the bitza lurcher over his type he was promoting in books and the shooting news.

Watch the two of them lastnite some good footage in them there's a lot of different types of dogs running in them But I think they favour the Deerhound x greyhound  x collie x greyhound  well done lads who ever made them spend alot off them making them ?
