My mate says the rise doesn't affect him as he always just puts twenty quid in.

I think born keeps his cards close to his chest mate with regards to how he operates .  The geezer has worked and toiled in the professions he is passionate about  to the nth degree . I’ll take h

Thankyou, and I'm sure that will be well received by stopend too. Certainly an end to the matter. Very unlikely to take issue with it or have much to say in response. But if he did then I'm absolutely

I think we're on about the same garage its Cable St side of The Highway next to Swedenborg Gardens.....ive scooped the odd one of them up for a proper bite to eat ( the white ones ?)....but no mostly you're right, they are there because they want to be.

For some strange reason I quiet like it round there, I like all the old buildings and dock walls and all that, I used to normally pull off the highway and take the little back route through wapping and all those cobbled streets and old warehouses…..it’s my sentimental side I suppose but I used to feel like early morning before the worlds awake or late at night it was still “my” London round there…..sounds a bit silly really.

I like popping into St Katherine’s for a bit of lunch when I’m over too, what is that pub ?…..The Dickens Inn ?

I got about 70 sailors off the royal yacht Britannia singing The Bubbles in there one night many years ago, pissed as a pudding I was but they was all good sports, brilliant ! Lol ?

Think ive told you before mate i have a little place that way its a nice little 20 minute stroll along Narrow Street and The Thames Path to The Dickens ive always liked the Wharfs and stuff,Limehouse and Shadwell Basins are beautiful modern communities but as you say embedded into an old fashioned style of architecture it brings back fun memories for me as anywhere south of The Highway were places we used to go out on the thieve as kids ?....for better or worse i dont know The Narrow is now a Gordon Ramsay place and The Prospect of Whitby which i always thought was a cracking boozer is now somewhat more upmarket but again in a clever way it still retains a lot of the old character of years gone by i really like the area.....yes the Dickens looks out over the dock i think its where the Fools and Horses episode where Uncle Albert go's missing was filmed though i might be wrong.
