The best thing to do is call in a professional. When I say professional, I mean someone who is a member of either BPCA or NPTA or both.

 

Its all very well to try and do a bit of DIY pest control, but when it comes to the safety of your family and pets, there is no point in taking chances.

 

A professional should be able to identify the source of the infestation, advice on prevention and treat the mice all for a reasonable price.

no poison is dog friendly safe, it all does the same job, but it can be held in tamper proof boxes, your main worry would be secondary poisoning, from the dogs eating the mice, as already suggested, get some traps, either break back, or live catch
