Scope for HMR

Looking for another scope for HMR but don’t know to go for another ffp but 5x20x 50 or sfp 4x16 44 or 50

You could do worse than the Hawke vantage hmr reticuled scope. I bought one for mine and although i haven't used it a great deal due to weather, i think it is very good.

If I was going to replace the scope on ether one of my .17hmr’s, like Ian I’d fit the Hawke vantage hmr, both my hmr’s have MTC vipers 4-16x50 on at the minute and they are ok, but the Hawke was made for the hmr

I believe hawke do two types for the HMR which one would you go for ?

The one I was looking at was 4-16x50, I think the other one is a 4-12x40, I’d go for a little more mag

Vantage front Ao 3 -9×50 ,works a treat with pard 007 .

Don't need fancy ffp and all that malarkey. Front Ao works better than side adjustment  don't know technical details just does .

And it comes with mounts too atb

With the HMR scopes, are they based on zeroing at a certain distance/ mag.   Hawke also make a .22 rimfire as well but I thought they a bit restricting in use from what I had heard.

Yeah Phil if you want it in yards its x16 @ 100yds (you can set it up for M too)

I have never understood why Hawke Rimfire scopes are variable magnification when the etched ranges are only accurate at one setting. The .22 LR Rimfire scopes are even worse with the bigger differences in velocity of the round

My pal bought one for his .22 rimmy, totally useless as you say, flogged it for £35 as I am guessing everyone knew they were no good.

but if it’s left on 12x there accurate to 150 

the one I had was with 42g win
