'MITCH..............................I am buying a Pard !!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Yes I know, about bloody time, I hear you say but even I have seen the light BUT I will be keeping at least one of those superb NiteSite units that have accounted for thousands of rats and a great many rabbits. Now that I have just added a Sako rimmy to the Tikka, there is enough room on the stock to fit a 007v which I cannot do on my Wildcat or P35 and my Impact will be gone next week so not in the equasion.

I have to say I am looking forward to getting both the Sako and the Pard as well as learning to shoot with near eye nv. We picked up another 800 acres yesterday to which the new gear will be well suited.

Are you buying anther FAC air  , can’t believe you got rid of .25

The Impact has not gone yet Mitch, going on Wednesday and the reason is two fold, The tuning house doing the work on the gun has been waiting for some of the parts since early November, they actually arrived last week and it is thought the parts for the Mk1 will become more of an issue.  Another thing was that despite me buying the gun at one month old, it has been fcuked about with inside and although I have not messed with it, I was advised to get rid.

My first thought was to get a Crown with the aluminium tank as it's a couple of hundred quid cheaper than the carbon tank version, in .22 to have as the slug gun but then thought replacing the .25 with another .25 BUT my Mk1 is not worth so much and would it get the use.

If I were still at work, I would have a crown .25, another Hawke Airmax Compact scope, Pard 007v AND the hmr rimmy but I am not working and I have to live within the pension allowance so the Impact is going which will allow me to get the Sako hmr,  Pard as well as clear the card from my recent purchase of the Browning semi auto so all is good.  I may at some stage look at a .25 fac from someone but not an FX but only because of price unless I find a s/h unit.  The Wilcat I have is lighter and more comfortable to carry around and in truth I prefer to use it rather than my Impact which is a few pound heavier and a pig to carry around with no shoulder strap.

Forgive my ignorance Mitch but don't you get new adapters with the pard.  When we were testing the 'v' it seemed to be much better result than my pal's 'a' version on the Hawke Airmax Compact which we have 5 of between us.  Do you think it is simply not compatable with FFP scope.

Yes it does come with one new adapter , but I use the original on 5 different guns with wildgame pard adapter which is brilliant, taking seconds to fit to each gun . My original pard is brilliant with ffp scopes & sfp . A & S version were/are crap compared to the original

Right just had another play with 007v

i had the ir pulled right out which gives you white out effect, pushed it back in perfect .
also over come the problem with it not fitting the original adapters and the wildgame adapter, they give you a bigger O ring red in colour , now everything is perfect .
SFP works the best and most ffp as well but not as good as SFP scopes

so all is good with pard v happy days
