It wouldn’t have been set up as a commercial account initially, it will have just grown out of a regular private account as they do. She posted regular teenage girl shit on an app full of girls and young women doing the same. Her parents were monitoring it, even warned this lad he was getting out of order. At what point should a parent say to their kid, “no, you’re too successful on TikTok, you need to shut your account down”? Firstly I wouldn’t allow my daughter to have an open view account. Secondly I wouldn’t allow her to post what I see as semi-provocative photos. Thirdly (hypothetically at the monetary stage)… as a parent I’d be questioning why the fuucking hell does some random on the internet, has zero to do with fashion or modeling industry want a pic of my 14 year old daughter and is willing to pay for it. Then I would make her answer the question. Edited to add: the moment I had to step in and tell some weird cnut that he needs to remember her age, I’d pull the plug and to hell with the scriking and screaming. Totally agree with the second part. Agree with the first part but at that stage, what do you do about it? Do you take her off her successful platform or do you try to manage it? Of course it doesn’t mean you have to have one and I think it’s probably a fair call. I genuinely don’t consider the pics I’ve seen as provocative. But I understand your point. Selling selfies is the one thing that has really raised my eyebrow. To me that was a big mistake.

Here’s me deleting her Snapchat account when she tried to sneak it past me She was 16 and it’s that one where you can send photos and they delete in a set time period. It’s moved in now but that was the crux of it. Not a fuucking sniff my darling. I made her delete it and not just the app, the account. Oh she wasn’t happy

Still the fact she was a minor and being sold to an older lad seems like a bad call.

The mrs sits watching fuucking cat videos for hours on bloody end She’s given up bugging me to take photos now, unless she has no other choice. I just snap away and say that’s ya fuucking lot lol. Maybe the intimacy of getting a private one off and being able to instigate a private conversation with his obsession? I mean he obviously wanted more but as a first step. It clearly went sideways and he felt rejected, hence he got shot.

It increases the profitability and provides backup accounts if they get hacked or banned. I don't really know if a million followers is a lot on tiktok, but on Instagram it'd be more than enough to have a manager advising on branding and strategy.
