You don’t think I can understand the overwhelming feeling of duty to protect a child from the world? Like that doesn’t exist until you’ve sired a child? It doesn’t even stand up to scrutiny given there are parents who would and do allow this.

I think you have a very skewed view of social media tbh based on that second paragraph. I don’t see it as anything if the sort. She just found fame in her own little way and enjoyed it and where it was going. Yes that payed too. Frankly the mental health effects are far more dangerous than the rare instance of a psycho going off on one.

Is the internet not fantasy land?

I wouldn't be happy with my daughter having a million followers on the web...?....how many more weirdos are going to  come out the woodwork??

But it’s not innocent though is it, because the internet is no place for innocence.    unfortunately, and disgustingly, her 1 million followers won’t be made up primarily of similar aged girls.

Ffs,how's she acting a slag?....she is dressed like many everyday girls her age,....crude approach to it in all honesty... So your walking down the road,a young girl is coming your way....you can

The mental health toll it creates, especially on young girls is not comparable to anything that has come before in the history of humans. That’s a reason right there to put everything back into pandoras box. It starts with the parents and morals of a society. Social media can be used correctly but the parents and companies should be scrutinising it and if they fail, then they should face the same real world repercussions as if they failed to protect their kids.

The fuucking metaverse is a prime example of how bad this is gonna get. How the fuuck will that be policed? Kids will be able to bully another kid’s avatar in a virtual McDonalds ?‍♂️?

I’m not saying anything of the sort, because, and here’s the important bit, I DONT KNOW!

And neither do you! Yet you have your ‘facts’…

Only people who could answer that would be one of the yank lads, preferably from Florida. US tax laws are very complicated.

Imagine if that girls following just fell off a cliff and the. She started taking notice of the comments because she wanted to know why. There’s always a minority of haters spewing utter bile. She now takes those to heart and wham, she tops herself. That shit is happening week in week out but very few people really give a shit.

Look you fellas are either happy to discuss this with me or not? If you don’t feel like I’m allowed a valid opinion because I don’t have kids then just don’t engage with me.

I haven’t looked at her account, just the photos that have been shared and read the report on what she typically posts. It’s just standard teenage girl shit, except she’s been very successful at it. I really don’t think there’s any evidence of anything greatly untoward.

I get what your getting at born, my kids watch you tubers all the time and they tell me some have made an absolute fortune from it but it's usually gamers and the likes of adley and that Asian lad but 14 year old girls post stuff on tiktoc is different imo.

As far as the parents not benefiting from it then I think your being very nieve and it's far from innocent as this young girl has unfortunately found out, she's already went through shit that no teenager should. Imagine how she must feel knowing that some lunatic was trying to get to her in the manner he was.

Im sure her parents will be happy enough though as she'll probably have another million followers tomorrow.

Happens all the time mate. It was happening years ago, hence why I was so strict with mine.

As I’ve said, I don’t blame her. She has been allowed to put herself into that precarious situation.

I read the same article and to be fair I laughed a bit, shook my head and just moved on. I’m pretty clued up on these things and I still can’t work out why anyone would code in the ability to gang rape an avatar ?‍♂️

But what do you do mate? As a parent. It wouldn’t have been set up as a commercial account initially, it will have just grown out of a regular private account as they do. She posted regular teenage girl shit on an app full of girls and young women doing the same. Her parents were monitoring it, even warned this lad he was getting out of order. At what point should a parent say to their kid, “no, you’re too successful on TikTok, you need to shut your account down”?

Her old man should have said something when the bloke with a sexual charge on his rap sheet started having an interest in her last yearlast year, it would be interesting to see a demographic breakdown of her followers/fans.why would blokes 20+years old have an interest in a kid, rhetorical question, wrong uns.
