That’s a good balanced post.

It’s maybe hard for people of older generations to understand but social media like instagram changed the world in a lot of ways for young entrepreneurs. There are really level headed driven girls/women out there who have used it and grafted to make themselves in a way that would’ve been impossible before. I’m not talking about women who just post pics in slutty poses and then sell onlyfans subscriptions but women who have built a brand, usually very attractive sure, but they work with companies to market their products and build their own portfolio of products. They tune in to what their following want and produce it, they share their life in a much more intimate way than yesteryears models. Todays youth want to be slim and attractive and live in bikinis on the beach in tulum having fun with their mates and they’ll ‘follow’ profiles that inspire that. It’s not so much selling sex as it is selling ‘the dream’ and I say fair fucks to those women. Imo they kept their dignity and hustled to live the dream. Young girls like this one was probably on her way to that tbh.

You've got no kids, have you?!

I wouldn't be happy with my daughter having a million followers on the web...?....how many more weirdos are going to  come out the woodwork??

But it’s not innocent though is it, because the internet is no place for innocence.    unfortunately, and disgustingly, her 1 million followers won’t be made up primarily of similar aged girls.

Ffs,how's she acting a slag?....she is dressed like many everyday girls her age,....crude approach to it in all honesty... So your walking down the road,a young girl is coming your way....you can

I've got a 12 year old granddaughter who's on tiktok and Instagram, I follow her and all innocent but I'm sure her mum checks her posts first.

Got to let the kids do what kids do, within reason ?

Cheers, D.

Exactly, within reason and hopefully ya grand daughter will stick with what mum says but you know she’ll be bombarded with other posts of kids her age acting way older, trashier etc and wonder if that’s the right way. That’s when being the parent is needed.

Anyone who has or has had a teenage daughter has had the WTF BACK UP THEM DANCERS AND CHANGE NOW! argument ?

Nowadays you have to be aware of what they do online too ;)

I absolutely merced our Jess when she posted a trout pout pic, she was 18 ?

Ask everyone with kids if they'd be happy with their kids having tik tok accounts like the teenager in question.

Not being funny mate but I haven’t the time to ask every parent. And clearly there are two that are happy, hers. There are tons of other teenage kids with similar accounts.

I wasn’t even arguing that parents should be happy about it. I was arguing against the usual internet lynch mob with chants of “slut” and “blame the parents” and trying to cast an alternative view of what the mob seems to be so sure of.

I’m no prude and I agree that older teenagers and women should be able to do as they please. I wouldn’t be happy if my eldest dropped out of uni to wave her minge on only fans but it’s her choice as an adult. You can’t expect that to be the same for kids and minors though.

edited to add; I’m not implying that this lass was waving her bits about but she was definitely posting semi-provocative pics and interacting with weirdos.

He’s right in what he says about creativity and future careers on some of these platforms and yes modeling can be part of that, so long as it’s done with taste and protection imo. I wouldn’t slut shame this girl. I question the parents, their motives and just wtf are they thinking.

Are you saying I expect it to be okay for minors to have only fans accounts and sell sex!?

Im not saying anything of the sort.

Im saying social media offers very successful and dignified careers these days, which is something completely overlooked by many of an older generation. I’m saying that this girl was probably doing nothing that literally hundreds of millions of others from her demographic are doing, just more successfully. And I’m saying that the parents weren’t necessarily particularly neglectful.

I honestly think these implications of her selling sex and the parents profiting on it are pretty f***ing sad. The internet has led to this situation and now the internet is having a good gossip too.

No. Everyone who has kids clearly disagrees with me though huh…

All I'm saying is, unless you have kids of your own, doesn't matter how many degrees in quantum physics, or your political stance on ANYTHING etc etc, you will NEVER understand a parent's view on ANYTHING.
