Born Hunter 17,843
When you say an additional 40, what does that make the total? Because here it's 70... And yeah, plastic wheelie bins are f***ing unsightly.

kanny 21,169
We pay for two green waist bins about eighty quid a year I think....worth every penny imo as we have a fair bit to shift and I hate putting in my car and taking it to the tip especially now our local tip has closed...15+ miles now to the next one. I'd say if you use them to their full potential they are worth it

Mad ain’t it that’s what there wanting. our house hold we only really need a general waist bin an a blue bin. but the general waist bins never full an the blue recycling bins normally only quarter full if that all I see it as is a money spinner for local councils to extract money out of house holds
Daniel cain 47,150
Don't start me on the tired cnuts and recycling ..twice I have driven to the council offices by us and emptied my brown bin inside the foyer because it wasn't emptied...1 st time because of a one legged Barbie doll, second time just after Xmas because there was brown cardboard from Amazon packages ..I take all my rubbish to the site I'm working on and it goes in the skips ..job done...will be contacting them for a reduction in my council tax as I can't see what I'm paying for them to do.. used to be able to slip the binmen a few quid yrs ago,and they take stuff...the new breed I class the same as taxi drivers and traffic wardens... complete f***ing wankers I'd happily strangle
TRUEBRIT66 1,921
We pay £60 for the garden waste bin, local council have brought in new recycling rules starting next month and are only emptying the black bin every 3 weeks. We now have Black and green wheelie bins, brown food bin, black box, green box and massive gurt big blue bag, takes up a chunk of space at the side of the house thats for sure.

poxon 5,847
Bloody hell lads I thought I was being hard done by I do like a good moan about these things though. I think it’s because I’d not have no need for the new food waist bin an my garden waist bins not in use an it sits there looking ugly but I still have to pay for services I don’t use. My blue bins a joke after 2weeks it only has about 10 milk cartons 2washing up liquid bottles an maybe a few cereal cartons in it’s not even quart full Has anyone ever had a deduction for there bins if they can prove of not in use? greg64 2,964
i live down a long track i have got a wheelie bin for my bin bags but they dont collect it from the house i have to take them to the roadside ,so they also give me a big black sack to stop animals getting in it roadside and so i dont have to lug a wheelie bin in the back of my motor

I don't pay the extra for the green bin...in fact my green bin has a bale of woodshavings in next to the ferret cage.. it's also my understanding that you have to opt in to have the green bin emptying...I never have so even if I put it out it won't get emptied
