Interesting the idea of gameness and aggression, greyhounds are game, they will drive their bodies to destruction to get contact with their quarry, well past the point most dogs would throw the towel

If the dog is that way inclined no amount of hidings will stop it. Either learn to live with it or don't.

Let’s all just take a moment to show appreciation that Greb has had no input in this thread or it could be 1000x more cringe haha

Like I say horses for courses .not getting in to a argument but don't dismiss anything unless you see it . lads run to what suits them and take gear some can't or won't .

a game bred bull will want to kill every dog it sees mate regardless of size

well it will if it’s any cop

I had an accidental litter, brother to sister of game bred pits. I had to separate them at 5 weeks due to the life or death fights. I've never seen more agro dogs, even adults. I think it's more close inbreeding that causes that level of aggression as the parents weren't nearly as bad. My mate who keeps bees has to keep changing Queens to prevent close inbreeding and ending up with unmanageable stock.

So what was the difference? Breeding or rearing? No doubt some need a firm hand and kept in line but the headcases I seen were always badly reared and only taken outta the pen to go hunt and kill stuff so were switched on from the second the lead was put on them.

Between our squad we owned nothing but terrier based lurchers for over 25 years with only the very rare incident in that time and usually by a wanker that never made the grade.

I've had to do the same with terrier pups at 5 weeks but not from matings were you'd of expected it.

That inbred litter went mostly to experienced pet homes and never showed any human aggression at all. If anything they were more gentle with people than most. I kept a big male and he never fought with his own dog family including his parents and grandfather but couldn't be around strange dogs at all. They were a mix of Reid and Jeep dogs.

I knew a few old time bulldog men. They would say that a black terrier is meaner than any bulldog.

Some of my young male terriers can be dog aggressive.I take them hunting on the river. If they act up I baptize them.If they act up again then I baptize  them again.Sooner or later they will behave as Christian dogs?
