Good point about men feeling scared that women can enjoy porn and sex as well as men. But why the underlying hatred of women?  Women being roughed up and called bitches, slums thick etc. Maybe it's what you are getting at, that men feeling secretly scared that women can enjoy casual sex and so insult them.

That’s exactly it mate, I think blokes who may be (wether they realise or not) mildly repressed feel threatened by a woman who just don’t give a shit ! 

I think the danger is that young men are learning about physical relationships from this stuff and that’s a different thing…..it’s one thing for mentally mature people to understand what they like and don’t like, what the boundary’s are, how you establish them and being mature and comfortable enough to be able to talk about them in an adult way even if you just met someone……it’s quiet another for two inexperienced 18 year olds to be treating one or the other like a hard core porn film because that’s all they have learnt.

People need to talk about this stuff with their kids, that’s the bottom line…..don’t make it a subject to be ignored or kept in the closet, talk about it.

You know yourself, if you go to Germany or France it’s right out there in the open…..it’s not a big deal.

They even have adult stores in the bloody airport in Germany ! Lol

I think wilf highlights the issue. We have become very very desensitised to sex, porn, violence, drugs etc etc. In terms of porn, every kid has a smart phone and every kid can access whatever they like and pass it around to mates. Every kid also seems to think they live in an episode of skins and devoutly follow the “yolo” mind set..... which is true, but whilst you might only live once, it’s quite a long life if you’re labelled!

Its sadly quite common that young lads think all women want f***ing and talked to like they are in a a porn movie. And it’s also sadly quite common that girls think they need to conform to that, to be ‘sexy’.

I think what it says about us is that either society does an awful lot to repress natural sexual behaviour. That can be good and bad. Or that society/technology has perverted our sexual behaviour. Either would explain why when you remove social judgement, people get freaky.

Its difficult to have these discussions without someone getting premenstrual. But anyway…

I recall a very interesting hypothesis from an anthropological psychologist where he posited that there were three fundamental natural behaviours of human reproduction. Long term pair bonding where the male contributes significant time and energy to raising his offspring; opportunistic sex where the female attracts a male genetically superior to her but the male does not commit to anything more. And finally rape, where obviously a male forces himself on a woman, a way of breeding with a female who’s superior I suppose. Anyway, his hypothesis was that the first two explained the difference between beauty and hotness. However, I do wonder if the real abusive porn is some sort of manifestation of ancient rape behaviours.

I also think it’s important to differentiate between abusive stuff and domination. If there really is a distinction?

Looking into the future, eventually VR will be indistinguishable from reality and ANY fantasy will be victimless… then we’ll have some real difficult ethical decisions to make. Understanding the route of these behaviours will be really important.

haha  above , but the real prob , is young girls , that are used in the sex trade, and struggle to break free , they get them hooked on  hard drugs etc. no porn a  bad thing in society , and always will be . ok with all watched it, but if you really look at the big picture  its bad . i was watching the other night the Yorkshire ripper  last tapes, and it was eye opener  how he viewed  prostitutes, just like pieces   of meat  to kill main , he was evil  twat , ok the women  might choose that way of life, or not, but there still humans   like the rest of us.
