I think Putin is making the best of a bad job. If he doesn't get the Black Sea corridor after failing to take the whole of Ukraine he will have failed at a great cost to Russia.

The way I look at it in a very basic way is if me and my neighbor don't get on and he barges into my house and attacks me, and I defend myself........I'm certainly not the aggressor !
