I don't think it's CCTV, I assume it's a webcam? They're everywhere these days, amusement parks, beaches, on peers, in town centres etc etc.

That was probably a kalibr cruise missile. If it utilised it's maximum capable terminal velocity, then it'd have been doing around mach 2.5. It may have been travelling much slower. Mach 2.5 is 850m/s, so to catch it every 50m or so the camera would need a frame rate of less than 20 frames/s. That's not high spec to my knowledge.

That square is allegedly some culturally significant site and that building is a government building. I don't think it's a war crime like some are suggesting, I don't believe they were targeting the square given they were a gnatts cock off the government building. I just think their tech is shit...

Far as I'm aware that's always been the case. And frankly, rightly so. Wouldn't rule it out if he tried to take another state though. Finland or Sweden isn't security, it's empire building.

i'd agree its all empire building and i feel he thought he would get an easy ride, walk in and take over and the world grumble but do nothing real. Thankfully the world is doing a little more than grumbling and although it will be a negotiated outcome in the end, as all wars are, the actions of the world and especially Europe will have a big impact on his future choices, basically he's not getting the free ride he thought he'd get and that may well turn out to be very important in the coming years.

A big concern needs to be giving the man a face saving way out. The whole world, and even his allies have turned on him and the 'special operation' isn't going well. If he's pressed too hard in negotiations I wouldn't put it past him to use a battlefield nuke just out of spite knowing that it won't precipitate a nuclear response.

He needs to be able to take his mob home with at least some sort of victory, because right now the entire world thinks him and his 'bear' are shit.
