I used to have a new lad here and there work for me who was a total wanker, you would always hear them talking the same crap “if I had £50 more a day I’d be brilliant”……..and here is the fact, no, they wouldn’t….they would still be a wanker except they would be a more expensive wanker…..which is much the same scenario as we see with the NHS !

The trouble with spending other peoples money is that nobody cares about it, it has no value, you just burn it and get more and that’s the way it go’s

The NHS hasn't always been in these dire straits, do you think it's just a coincidence that with the chronic underfunding by the Tories that it's now at its worst?

The nhs has as many people working for it almost as McDonald’s world wide 

it’s the 5th biggest world wide employer , more than the Chinese national grid , the Indian railway company 

it’s completely baffling

And yet our per capita health spending is lower than most of the developed world. It may not be perfect but it delivers 2nd class healthcare on a 3rd class budget.

the answer is without doubt a more streamlined and accountable organisation.

Yes, along with more funding. They haven't only just forgotten how to manage it, mismanagement has likely been an area needing  improvement for decades.

I can imagine the middle management in such places are literally robbing a wage 

Be massively interesting to see what the break down is of actual health professionals ( consultants / surgeons / doctors / nurses ) vs supporting arms ( admin / cleaning / hr etc) 

I bet it’s horrific

Likely so, but this will have been going on from the start mate, it isn't nothing new. But, it flourished at one point and you don't have to go that far back to remember that.
