Not yet is what you mean…..there was a time when you’d have thought a bunch of fairly innocuous looking trainspotter types would not get long jail sentences for having or planning a protest in their own land……but hey, just look at us now ! Lol

Again, not yet mate.

The comparisons are all there, it’s just a fact.

I agree we are not wheeling wheel barrows of money down to the baker for bread, but replace the baker with the electric company or the tax man ? 
 

You are a well travelled and knowledgeable chap mate, I’m sure you have studied the history of these things in depth……you may not see the same cause and effect as me, that’s fine of course

I just can’t agree in the comparison between us and the 1930’s Weimar Republic in Germany .

That was an epoch defining time, leading to all out world war. 
What we have isn’t going to have a knock on effect for the world.

Its leading to what had been going on since the end of WW2 , the Suez Crises , the retreat from East of Suez, the end of the Empire, it’s what the politicians call “managed decline” !

I disagree with it emphatically, but both Labour and Tory seem hell bent on it !

1930’s Germany led to a dictator trying to reverse Germany’s decline…..2020’s UK is led by politicians accelerating the UK’s decline.

So Im sorry, but I can’t agree with your equating 1930’s Germany with 2024’s UK !
