It was known in the 19th century as “the great game” involving Britain and Russia, and has been going on ever since. You can choose between two very imperfect systems: The Democratic West, where you at least have a vote on who is your government; or the Autocratic East Where you would be persecuted and jailed for having the temerity to want a vote!
