In 2022, a crack long distance unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the general talk section of th

True story, I knew a lad lived in a flat who had a bedroom for his horticultural interests, I phoned him when he was at home and said "Mate, make sure your extraction is on point, the bizzies are flyi

I can't see this escalating to nuclear because the money men won't let it. In a 'normal' war foot soldiers, civilians and people that don't matter to them are the casualties but if a war is allowed to go intercontinental every man and his dog is fcuked, not much point in having 57 trillion in the bank if when you eventually leave your multi million fall out shelter your greeted by a toxic wasteland. Only thing that has a voice in this world of ours is money...

I know what you’re saying. But on the other hand, what’s to be gained? Russia seems to have accepted the overt arms, training and intelligence support from the West and it’s working. There’s always escalatory options that don’t involve declaring war.

I don’t know what’s to be gained really by using force of our own at this point. And it’d come with enormous risk.

If anything I’d expect weapons aid to be escalated. There’s talk of sending weapons that aren’t even operational in our own military yet…

Second Cold War…

I don't know too much about them but, Russias military are looking like a bag of shit - they couldn't reign in the Ukraine and, one way or another, they've just lost that war ship.

.......... perhaps their nuclear arsenal is just as poor.

For decades, no one has wanted to tangle with Russia - I'm now wondering if we're starting to see that there's not much substance behind their posturing :hmm:

Whether they lost the Moskva through accident (RUS claim) or through missile attack (UKR claim) they appear incompetent. The Neptune missiles are essentially obsolete given modern air defences.

For years people have sized up countries military strength by counting assets. “This nation has more tanks/jets/soldiers than this nation so they’re more powerful”. Russia have played heavily to this sort of thinking. Retaining aged hulls and up gunning them to f**k with things that go bang. Seems impressive but there’s a huge and complex chain of systems that go into firing a missile, and it’s the less impressive stuff, like logistics and comms, that will undermine everything if it’s a neglected weak link.
