Truth is, money or not there’s far more at stake here, for everyone. Fuucking Mercs Please pray tell

It’s amazing how many foreign nationals are fighting in places like Syria against daesh. Lots of westerners went to fight in Burma for the Kachin as well. Happens loads, and why not, there are a lot of folk who live pointless boring lives. Go out somewhere, live a life, have an adventure and maybe do something good. But if you survive you have some cool stories either way. I was thinking similar but it’s a bit of a different game going to join the peshmerga to fight 30k fanatical Arabs in hiluxs vs facing the might of a resurgent Russia! Still sure some might go. Dunno if they’d be described as ‘boring’ but ex servicemen who just can’t stay away from war go. I’m not convinced they’re wired up right even though some of them have worked in some of the more elite professional units. I wonder if half of it is image for them. I wasn’t meaning the ex service men mate. I have a few mates who are ex forces and who are now privateers. It has paid very well. Out of the two that immediately spring to mind, one is just good at it and financially clever. The other is a born warrior and I expect he is following his ancestral path! He left the army but will always want to be a warrior. They are both slightly frightening human beings. When I said boring people, I was more thibking that every war needs some cannon fodder, if we sent a load of our population out there, we might only get 30% back but they would be somewhat improved, or at least a bit more grateful for their lot here. I've been and commented on here for years, sure I had this account when I was 16. As for being opinionated, sitting on the fence just gets you splinters in your arse. Anything I say I'll stand by, prove me wrong and I'll admit I was.
