I was living the dream when they came out, used to pour oil into the port of my Wembley vulcan to make it diesel, a loud crack and you could smell the stench of napalm almost when you shot, I didn't have a chrono but I just knew it was doing 100ftlbs ?

Imagine shooting spuggies to feed your ferrets with one of these......

We used to shoot each other playing cowboys and Indians with air rifles and slug guns pal of mines got a slug in the eye and another a 22 pellet embedded in his cheek and btw this was across a street haha isn’t that what they were for and hope for a real gun when you grow up ....

Blinded my mate David John Court in one eye with a gatgun when I was 13 ?to this day his mum and dad still think it happened when I banded past him on my CR 80 flicking rocks?

That sort of attitude isn't uncommon over here. Certain groups feel superior to others and protect their own sport by vilifying ones they see as less ethical.

Very few people will have any real life exposure to safari/trophy/big game hunting and the mainstream narrative is pure hate, so you'll find a lot of folk into fieldsports turn into anti's with this.

It's rife in fishing. Which is ironic because it'd be the easiest sport to sab.

Yeah 100% the arguments I've had with fisherman over the years.

It's also ironic because catch and release fishing is actually one of the more difficult sports to defend from a moralistic point of view.

When you speak to a lot of the eastern European lads who fish for the table over here they think catch and release is cruel.

And I tend to agree with them. Dragging something around by its mouth to then release it is a pointless activity in my eyes. But I'd still stand by it even though most who fish wouldn't stand by fieldsports.

There's as much of a culture divide in fishing as there is anything, call me old fashioned but I fish to sea fish, coarse and game with the same spinning rod, no mad tackle here.

Ya know it might just be the fact I'm a violent American but really seems you should have a line long conversation with these types...in a back alley possibly with talking of dental plans ...if you get my drift

Most people over here are scared of confrontation so no chance of that happening, they get bullied at work by there bosses then bullied at home by there wives and kids.
