As one or two of you know, I have been toying with getting a new Crown .22 fac and in the process selling my Impact .25 fac.  The original idea was to have my Wildcat .22 fac compact,  as my pellet gun with certain applications and the Crown as my slug gun but when I was in the shop earlier in the week, my pal was doing some pellet tests in his Crown .22 fac and whilst he has had it for a month or two, I had not got round to shooting it.

I was quite taken a back by the length of the barrel with the mod fitted, god only knows what a 700mm barrel would be like as this was a 500mm barrel and I have to say whilst it was fine in the shoulder, it is just so long when you are used to shooting guns like the Impact, Wildcat and P35 soooo now I am not so sure.  I could go for another Wildcat or buy another barrel for my Impact but .25 slugs don't seem to be as advanced as .22 from what I have read. A bit of a quandry really so sit back and ponder I guess.

I just got my Wildcat back from the idiots known as 'The Sportsman' as the reg was dropping pressure, it came back with a print out sheet stating the reg pressure is now producing an average 926fps so should be fine for slugs but a quick test in the rfd on their SKAN chrono showed approx 905 - 923fps but in fairness we used the end of my tin of AA Field Heavies 18gr which could be to blame. This week I will try again with a new tin of JSB Heavies 18gr both on my Chrony and the shops SKAN and if it is off reg again, it will be going back AGAIN, fcuk me, why do a company like FX deal with these muppets, I am even toying with not buying another FX and move to another make altogether.  I am suffering with man flu at present so not feeling very good at the moment which doesn't help my mind set.

HW rifles in fac are not very well rated so a no go Jason, sub 12 are great though and I am covered in sub 12 with the P35 which is spot on despite what some people think.

Wouldn't have an fx given. Get an rti prophet performance adjustable reg 80-200 bar adjustable hammer spring and plenum as std I was getting 1040 fps with jsb 25.39 in .22 and insanely accurate out to over 100yd

Iv been looking at the reximex ixia

Looks more or less the same as the impact 

And you can change the barrels mag and pellet probe on them as well 

Been watching vids on it all day 

With good results

Mind at £698 ish much cheaper than a impact

'I wouldn't have an FX given'........................Don't worry Kalibrgun, I have no intention of ever giving you an FX. 

I have had 5 FX guns and found them ALL to be both accurate and great to use. Never seen a Prophet in any shop near me,  I can't say they offer great value as they are in the same price bracket as the Wildcat, Impact and Crown but without the looks. I assume they are better than the Priest as they were shite which is why a couple of shops near  me stopped selling RTI as most were sent back. 

We all like different things but I by far prefer the FX every day of the week.

The first priests weren't as good as they should of been. The priest 2 were good but the prophet performance has all the bits on and crazy accurate I've been contemplating the prophet compact. Had a shit year so far and no sign of it giving yet so will be treating myself soon

Who are you dealing with for RTI guns in your area.

I use Bob at city air weapons but get in touch with Rob at RTI first to ship it to Bob for me so quickly know exactly when it will be there

Ah, not on your doorstep then, I expected you to say someone in Leeds/Wakefied for some reason.   I used City a few times when I had my Rapid fac guns which was his speciality, very helpful chap.

Less than half the price Jimmy and if it does what you want, then you are quids in matey.  Have you actually seen one in the flesh so to speak.  It sounds good with the barrel / probe change as well.
