? Clear as mud Neal? I can only talk from a personal (and practical) point of view, and my rabbiting ACD based lurchers, were created from a union of Greyhound x Heeler put to a Hard Blood ,non-p

You are not far wrong there Aussie?

If it went over a racey lurcher with a bit of bull in I’d have one, I like my Kelpie that I got off jigsaw have gelled with her really well.

Aye totally different type of dog and drive to be fair. The are driving / droving dogs for cattle work. Usually way to hard for sheep work, very mouthy, and gripy and no fear of getting kicked across the pen or yard by a cow and coming back in for more. In my opinion more suited for breeding Lurchers than most collies now. But I guess in the past you would have had a lot more collies like that - especially on the days of the drovers which is where the collie grey came from.

Lol Big Balls ?  takes more than that lads I know gameness is a big thing in dogs so watt does the ACD put into them the the collie can't

The difference i have seen is the ACD will lay it's life down without question for any task given to it,the loyalty is far beyond anything else i have seen and the cleverness and way of looking at a problem and solving it is something else to see.I'm sounding far fetched i know but all i have said is true of both pures and lurcher x's i have seen or owned. If i was stranded on a desert island and there was a ACD with me it'd keep me alive and well,a collie might help me survive...a ADC will stand if front of you and give it's life to not let anything get past it,a collie will run off and bite the ankles from behind, that sort of difference bud..:victory:

I been watching vids on YouTube of acd working and they definitely seem to be stronger  tuffer than any border collie that's for sure and they work in some extreme heat .

Think acd bring a lot to the table and if I was looking for a herder x to put into the mix it'd be acd
